I don't know if this will be helpful to you at all...I'm not a developer, but I do everything else here. I recently (and finally) got CR 8.5 to work on our workstations on the 64-bit version of Windows 7. I set up the workstations for the employees, so I just copy certain CR files and register a couple DLLs to make CR work. Our internal applications are developed using Delphi, and use CR 8.5.

It seems to be a little quirky. The CR DLLs that we need to register in Windows have to be registered using both the 32- and 64-bit versions of regsvr32.exe. The same goes with the MSSLQ ODBC connection...it needs to be set up on both the 32- and 64-bit versions of odbcad32.exe. I was only doing this with the 64-bit versions at first, but a couple of our applications choked until I also did it in the 32-bit version (the others worked fine). Plus, all of the CR files need to go to the SysWOW64 folder instead of system32 for our applications to work correctly.
